Can you open and close the door with this on?
Yes,but put the adhesive on it first to the draft blocker than put it on the bottom of your door.Should line up just fine.I hope this helps you.
Will it roll over indoor doormat to fall back in place when closed, or will it bump at the edge of the doormat making it difficult to open the door?
Depends on how high and fluffy of your mat. Usually we recommend to place the tube firmly on the floor before you attach the adhesive side against the door. So it will be the correct measurment between floor and bottom of door. This will aso let the tube has enough pressure and not going to move away from the door.
What is the length of the product?
The product lenght is 36″. You can also cut to the lenght of your door if it is shorter.
Will this work on carpet ?
Yes, it works with no problem. To install, you just need to put the tube firmly on the floor before attach the adhesive against the door. The door draft stopper will adjust itself for the first few times when you open and close the door.
I have tired numerous products but this is by far the best so far…. It covers LARGE gaps between the door and floor even if the gap is uneven….. You dont haveto worry about one side getting caught… It does come folded but a burst of air from your hair drawer will fix that. Plus a little heat to warm up the glue strip… I applied a little gorilla glue for additional support of the main base. Plus the wood shade matched my floor perfectly.
